Why am I doing this?

Hey everyone! I'm trying to help Bermuda Cancer & Health Centre this World Cancer Day by raising as much as I can towards their initiative to take action against cancer and spread awareness about cancer prevention. In 2020 my world was hugely affected when my Mom was diagnosed with breast cancer and started the long fight against this horrible disease which she is thankfully nearly done! I have family and close friends who have all been affected directly by cancer and any charity or resources that help fight it hold a huge level of importance to me! Cancer affects everyone, everyday, everywhere. It's so important to stay on top of your health and Bermuda Cancer & Health Centre provides services through their Cancer Prevention Programmes to help catch cancer early, among other amazing services. If you can spare any funds at all towards this worthy cause, it would be greatly appreciated and like I always say, every little helps. :)

About the Event

WHY CANCER IN THE WORKPLACE?

Organisations and workplaces have a fundamental role to play in achieving a world less burdened by cancer. Organisations can contribute to healthier workplaces, be a powerful voice in the community and act as a vital support for employees impacted by cancer. 

HOST A DENIM DAY - donations raised will support our cancer prevention programmes

TWO ways to register your participation:

1. Click here and register your organisation, collect donation from participating employees and submit your donation via one of these "methods" 

2. Register your Denim Day online using the 'Create a Sponsor Me Page' button above.  This is a great option if staff/members are not all in the same location due to COVID-19, by hosting an online denim day you can come together for a common cause even if not physically together.

• If this is your first time on our "platform" you will set up your personal profile first and then register for the event.
• When registering a company, organisation or team for the Denim Day - enter that name in the 'First Name' section.  Have a picture or logo on hand to upload and a brief paragraph stating why you are participating and encourage staff/members to support and make a donation.
• You will receive a URL which you can then email to staff/members, providing them a direct link to your Sponsor Me Page where they can make their donation.

You can help us reach our goal to raise $10,000 through World Cancer Day events. Donations will fund our cancer prevention programmes, as we work to raise awareness that 30-50% of all cancers are preventable, and what choices you can make to reduce your cancer risk!
