Cancer Navigation Service
Cancer can make everything feel complicated very quickly.
Appointments, information, decisions, and next steps often arrive all at once, and it’s not always clear where to start.
Cancer navigation exists to help make things feel more manageable. It’s about having someone who can listen, help you understand what’s happening, and guide you through what comes next, at a pace that works for you.
What cancer navigation is
Cancer navigation is personalised support for people who are living with cancer, or supporting someone who is.
It can help when:
- You’re feeling unsure about next steps
- Information feels overwhelming
- Care feels fragmented or difficult to coordinate
- You don’t know what questions to ask yet
Many people don’t realise this kind of support exists until someone mentions it. That’s okay, finding help doesn’t need to be immediate or formal.
When cancer enters your life, you shouldn’t have to navigate it alone.
Who this support is for
Cancer navigation may be helpful if you are:
- Newly diagnosed
- In treatment
- Managing follow-up or ongoing care
- Supporting a family member or loved one
People use navigation in different ways and at different times. There is no single “right” moment to access support.
What to expect
There is no obligation and no set pathway.
Some people need short-term guidance; others benefit from ongoing support.
Conversations are confidential, respectful, and centred on what matters to you.
Accessing cancer navigation at the Centre
Cancer navigation support is available at Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre.
You can ask your GP, oncologist, specialist, or care team about navigation support, or enquire directly if you feel it may be helpful.
If you’re unsure whether navigation is right for you, that uncertainty alone is a valid reason to ask.
You don’t have to navigate cancer alone.
