Why am I doing this?

Hi all, I can’t believe that another year has come and gone and we are at it again and boy what a year 2020 has been so far!! Zoe and I are participating in the BF&M Breast Cancer Awareness Walk later this week (independently due to COVID) and we need your help to raise as much as we can again for a great cause. You may recall that last year, we lost a very dear friend to cancer the morning of the walk and completed the walk with a very heavy heart. Then earlier this year we experienced first hand, through a close family member, the life changing treatments that the Radiation Center provides locally to patients. These events have made us even more passionate about supporting this cause! We are dedicating our walk to the family and friends that we have lost to cancer and to the amazing people who continue to fight. Every little bit helps in this war against cancer and we would really appreciate your help!! Please find the link to our pledge page right at the bottom of this message. About the Event

We need your help to reach our goal of raising $200,000 to support our equal access fund ensuring all women and men have access to mammograms, ultrasounds and breast biopsies in an effort to detect cancer early when it is most treatable and radiation therapy cancer treatment - regardless of one’s level of health insurance.  The funds also provide FREE breast health education through our “Know Your Lemons” CLICK HERE to learn more about our programme.

This year’s theme is “I Believe in PINK”. We stand together to say, ‘We believe in you!” For the first time, this event is being held virtually.

This year we're going virtual! BF&M invites you to join us for the 24th annual BF&M Breast Cancer Awareness Walk on Wednesday, October 14th from wherever you are.  Wear your “I Believe in PINK” shirts, take photos with your family, friends and colleagues who you want to walk with, be sure to post your picture on social media and use #IBelieveinPINK2020!
