Dr Chris Fosker to Present BCHC's experience for Delivering Specialist Cancer Care at Caribbean Oncology Conference

Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre (BCHC) is pleased to announce that Dr Chris Fosker, Chief Executive Officer, Medical Director and Clinical Oncologist, has been invited to speak at the 14th Caribbean Association of Oncology and Haematology (CAOH) Annual Scientific Conference, taking place in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, from 17–19 July 2026.

Dr Fosker will present "Innovating for Access: Delivering Specialist Oncology Care in a Generalist Environment," sharing BCHC's experience in delivering specialist oncology care within a small island health system, and exploring how collaboration and innovative models of care can improve access for patients living in smaller populations.
As cancer care becomes increasingly specialised, many smaller countries face the challenge of providing access to expert care without the population size or workforce needed to sustain large tertiary centres. Drawing on BCHC's experience, Dr Fosker's presentation will share practical lessons on how collaboration, multidisciplinary partnerships, international peer review and emerging technologies can help improve access to specialist cancer care in smaller health systems. The aim is to contribute to the regional discussion while learning from the experiences of colleagues across the Caribbean.

In addition to presenting at the conference, Dr Fosker will participate in a number of regional discussions and meetings, providing an opportunity to strengthen relationships with healthcare leaders from across the Caribbean and contribute to discussions on the future of cancer care within the region.

Following the conference, BCHC will share key highlights and insights from the event.
