Event Information
Why Participate in the BF&M Breast Cancer Awareness Walk?
1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime. Early detection saves lives — when breast cancer is found through regular screening mammograms, it can be caught at an earlier stage, when treatment options are greater and outcomes are better.
More Information
For 29 years, our community has come together each October to walk, raise funds, and show support for those impacted by breast cancer. Every step helps ensure that women and men in Bermuda have access to:
-
Screening and diagnostic services such as mammograms, ultrasounds, and biopsies
-
Cancer navigation and radiation therapy at Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre
-
Free breast health education through our Know Your Lemons programme
By participating in the BF&M Breast Cancer Awareness Walk, you’re not just walking — you’re helping to provide lifesaving care without barriers.
Register today and walk with us on Wednesday, October 15th at 6PM, Barr’s Bay Park. Together, we can reach our $200,000 goal and make breast cancer services accessible for all.
How to Register
1. Sign up on Race Day World
2. Set up a Fundraising Page
Funds raised go directly to our Equal Access Fund, which ensures that women and men can receive mammograms, ultrasounds, and breast biopsies, regardless of their insurance coverage, in order to detect cancer early, when it is most treatable. Your support also helps provide cancer navigation services, radiation therapy, and FREE breast health education through our “Know Your Lemons” programme.
