Event Information
This year, prostate cancer month consisted a month long series of awareness events including: a “Men Only” Night at Elbow Beach Hotel. Visiting Associate Professor, Dr. Michael O’Leary (Brigham &Women’s Hospital), and local urologist, Dr. Charles Dyer presented a Prostate Health lecture to an all male audience.
Our other events held over the month included:
- June 4 - Prostate Awareness presentation to Rotary Club of Pembroke @ 7:30am Royal Hamilton Yacht Club
- June 8 – Prostate Awareness presentation to Rotary Club of St. Georges @ 6:30pm The George and Dragon
- June 9 - Prostate Awareness presentation to Rotary Club of Hamilton @ 12:30pm Royal Amateur Dinghy Club
- June 11 + 12 - Cooper’s late night shopping with special saving offers
- June 25 – Men Only Night, Dr. Michael O’Leary (Brigham &Women’s Hospital)
- June 27 - Bermuda Classic Bike Club and the Bermuda Long Riders Motorcycle Club Poker Ride
- June 27 - Free PSA Screening in Partnership with the Bermuda Hospitals Board at The Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre.
- All month – health and prostate flyers/brochures were available at: Magnum Powerforce Gym, SeaView Health Ultimate Fitness Club, The Athletic Club and The Olympic Club
