Get the girls together and help support Breast Cancer Awareness in Bermuda.
It’s simple. Just set a date and get together, then donate what you would have spent on a night out to Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre.
Girls Night In is a great excuse to catch up with your girlfriends and contribute to Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre’s goal of raising $250,000 this October. All funds will be used to upgrade our cancer diagnostic equipment and patient support systems; this means increasing early cancer detection and decreasing the time between screening and diagnosis.
1. Register your event by clicking on the Sign Up Now button on this page and enter your information. Have an image ready to upload (could be a picture of your girls or your favourite pink item) and your event description which can be details of your Girls Night In, or the reason you have chosen to be a hostess.
If you prefer to register offline, please download this registration form and donation form and submit via the intructions on the forms.
2. Invite the Girls –be sure to include the web address for your “Sponsor Me” event page that you just set up. These are great opportunities for friends who may wish to support your event but are uable to attend.
3. Get the girls together and ask them and others to make a donation to Girls Night In - in honour of your friendship or perhaps a loved one who has been affected by cancer. All donations go towards Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre’s current initiative to provide the best early detection for breast cancer, while reducing the waiting period between screening and diagnosis.
Anything goes for your Girls Night In - whether it be a slumber party, book club gathering, a games night or dinner party, as long as you’re supporting Breast Cancer Awareness in Bermuda. Check out some of the simple ideas below for your Girls Night In – but remember it's "your night in"!
Invite the girls round and get them to bring a friend; Consider a pyjama party, lingerie party or Tupperware exchange; Get the men involved as waiters, MC’s or chauffers for the night; Collect donations at the door.
Draw up a list of ‘chick flicks’; Get the girls to vote for their movie choices; Raid the DVD store.
Get the girls around; Plug in the mic and crank up those tunes.
Get the girls together for a yoga or pilates session, or maybe try something more spiritual like meditation or reiki.
Encourage the budding chefs in your circle to cook up a storm; Offer prizes for the best dishes and suggest donations for passing on recipes; Why not sell your dishes at your work place, sports club or through local businesses.
