My doctor was shocked, as she was sure she would have felt the lump when she examined me. And, she showed me how to do a self-examination. It didn’t take an examination to find it. The lump was so close to the surface, I thought it was a bead of deodorant in my shirt. Fortunately, it was in the early stages, and my BRAC Analysis test result was negative.

After much drama, but abundant love and support from loved ones, I won my fight with cancer. It was lonely, being away in school, but my Creator guided me through. I never thought, at 32, I would have such a fight. A positive and determined attitude is half the battle.
